Dr Basil Issa has been a Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester University Foundation Trust, since October 2004. Prior to this he was a Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetes at North Manchester General Hospital where he worked for six years and led the endocrine service in this hospital.

Basil has a keen interest in adrenal disease, obesity and diabetes in pregnancy.He has a wealth of experience in managing a wide range of endocrine disorders including thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary and gonadal disease in addition to the management of diabetes and its complications.
